For property owners, meeting the UK’s net zero commitment throws up a number of challenges, and those challenges create risk. Our approach provides assurance that the investment made in the property to reduce emissions and produce comfort at an affordable price for the resident has been, and continues to be achieved.

Retrofitting properties presents a number of difficulties, we provide assurance that what you have specified in terms of property performance has been delivered.

Netzero Property has developed an innovative data led, PAS 2035 compliant process to determine that the retrofit outcomes have been delivered. Our approach goes beyond the Retrofit Coordinators assessment. It provides an independent empirical evaluation of the performance of the property and critically provides an on-going assessment to identify risks from under or overheat, damp and issues indicating that the resident may need support in their low carbon home.

Our AI enabled monitoring works in real time and continually assess the property so that assurance is built up over time giving you an accurate measurement of your carbon emissions across your entire portfolio.

How the
process works

  • The property is surveyed either by you or by one of our surveyors using our App. This results in a Specification report which sets out what needs to be done to the fabric of the property in order to make it suitable for low energy heating. It also tells you the options for generating heat – both space and water. Options for energy generation and storage are detailed along with anticipated costs, carbon savings and critically the operational cost for the resident.
  • The Specification report helps you decide and plan what works will be carried out, and when.
  • We recommend that remote monitoring equipment is installed as it enables us to provide you with AI based assessment of the effectiveness of each stage of the retrofit process providing indication of retrofit performance.
